A buy box is your investment criteria saved as a reusable profile. It tells the platform what you want to buy: property type, price range, location, deal type, and other conditions. When other users publish properties that match your buy box, ReiSearch notifies you and can even auto-send presentations.

### Step 1: Open the Buy Box Form

Two ways to get there:

- **From the Dashboard** — Click the "Create Buy Box" quick action card. This is the fastest path.
- **From your Profile** — Go to Settings > Profile, scroll to the buy box section, and click "Add Buy Box."

Both paths open the same form.

### Step 2: Fill in Your Criteria

The buy box form collects everything a seller or wholesaler needs to know about what you buy.

- **Price range** — Set your minimum and maximum purchase price. Be realistic about your market. A tight range like $200,000-$210,000 may produce few matches. Try a wider spread first and narrow later.
- **Property type** — Select one or more: Single Family, Multi-Family (2-4), Condo, Townhome, or other. Checking multiple types increases match volume.
- **Location** — Add cities, ZIP codes, or metro areas. You can add multiple locations. Type in the field and press Enter to add each one.
- **Deal type** — Select the deal structures you work with: Cash, Subject-To, Seller Finance, Hybrid, Wrap. Check all that apply.
- **Beds and baths** — Optional. Set minimum and maximum bedroom and bathroom counts.
- **Square footage** — Optional. Set minimum and maximum living area.
- **Year built** — Optional. Filter by construction year or range.
- **Additional notes** — Optional text field for anything else sellers should know (e.g., "Must need repairs" or "No HOAs").

### Step 3: Set Visibility

Choose who can see your buy box:

- **Public** — Visible on your Profile and in the Network > Buyers view. Anyone on ReiSearch can see your criteria.
- **Network** — Visible only to your connections.
- **Private** — Not shown publicly. You can still receive manual matches from users who know your criteria.

### Step 4: Save Your Buy Box

Click "Save." The buy box appears on your public profile, in the Buyers section of the Network, and becomes active for matching. You can create multiple buy boxes for different strategies (e.g., one for fix-and-flip, one for buy-and-hold).

### What Happens Next

- Your buy box is visible to users browsing the Buyers view in Network.
- Published properties matching your criteria trigger notifications and (if enabled) auto-send presentations.
- You can edit, deactivate, or archive the buy box anytime from your Profile settings.
