## Help Content

**Title:** How to Upload and Manage Documents
**Format:** Help article
**Audience:** All
**Slug:** upload-manage-documents
**Purpose:** Store and organize deal-related files directly within a property profile.

**Content:**

Every property profile includes a Documents section for storing contracts, inspection reports, disclosures, photos, and any other files related to the deal. Documents stay attached to the property so you and your team can find everything in one place.

### Accessing the Documents Section

Open any property from your Drafts, Shared, or Published tabs. The Documents section is available on the property detail page, typically in a bottom panel or tab labeled "Documents."

### Supported File Types

You can upload most common document and image formats:

- PDF — Contracts, reports, disclosures
- Images — JPG, PNG, WEBP (property photos, inspection photos, floor plans)
- Documents — DOC, DOCX, XLS, XLSX (if supported by your plan)

Maximum file size depends on your plan. Free and Core plans have lower storage limits. Scale and Team plans include larger limits. Check your plan details in Settings > Billing.

### How to Upload

Two methods:

**Drag and drop** — Drag files from your computer directly into the Documents area. A progress indicator shows upload status. Files that finish appear in the document list immediately.

**File picker** — Click the upload button or the upload area to open your system file picker. Select one or more files. Hold Ctrl (Windows) or Cmd (Mac) to select multiple files at once.

### Organizing Documents

Uploaded files appear in a list or grid within the Documents section. Each document shows:

- File name
- File type icon (PDF, image, document)
- Upload date
- File size

You can rename documents after upload by clicking the file name and typing a new one. Use descriptive names like "Inspection Report — 123 Main St.pdf" instead of generic filenames.

### Downloading Documents

Click the download icon on any document to save it to your computer. Downloaded files keep their original name or your renamed version.

### Deleting Documents

Click the delete icon or context menu on a document and confirm the deletion. Deleted files cannot be recovered. Download anything you need before deleting.

### Storage Limits

Your plan determines how much document storage you have:

- Free — Lower storage capacity (40 properties, 2GB total)
- Core — Increased capacity (350 properties, 12GB)
- Scale — Higher capacity (2000 properties)
- Team — Maximum capacity (10,000 properties, 100GB)

Check your current usage in Settings > Billing. If you approach your limit, delete unnecessary documents or upgrade your plan.
