A complete profile makes you discoverable in the Directory, enables buy box matching, and builds trust with other users. The Dashboard checklist tracks your progress. Each completed item moves the percentage higher.

### Why Profile Completion Matters

A complete profile is required for several platform features to work at full strength:

- **Directory visibility** — Users with incomplete profiles rank lower in search results.
- **Buy box matching** — Publishers are more likely to send deals to users with verified profiles.
- **Network connections** — Connection requests from incomplete profiles are accepted less often.
- **Verification badge** — A verified profile earns a badge on your cards and listings.

### Profile Setup Checklist Items

The Dashboard checklist shows five tasks under Profile Setup:

**1. Upload Profile Picture**
Click the avatar area on your Dashboard profile card or go to Settings > Profile. Upload a clear headshot or logo. Square images work best. Your photo appears on property cards, Directory listings, and shared properties.

**2. Public Profile Information**
Go to Settings > Profile. Fill in your first and last name, phone number (with visibility set to Network or Public), and email visibility. Add your location as a tag (e.g., "Phoenix, AZ" or "Maricopa County"). Write a short bio in the About Me field describing your investing focus.

**3. Social Media**
Link your professional social accounts in the Social Info section of Settings > Profile. Add URLs for Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and LinkedIn. Connected social profiles appear as clickable icons on your public profile.

**4. Expertise**
Go to Settings > Expertise. Select your areas of expertise from the available options. Common choices include Buyer, Acquisitions, Lead Generator, and Wholesaler. Your selections appear as badge tags on your Directory and Network profile cards. You can select multiple.

**5. Add My Buy Box**
Create at least one buy box defining the properties you want to buy. Open Settings > Profile, scroll to the buy box section, and click "Add Buy Box." Set your price range, property type, location, and deal type. A buy box unlocks the Buyers section in Network and makes you discoverable to publishers running presentations.

### Checking Your Progress

Your Dashboard profile card shows a percentage. As you complete checklist items, the number updates. 100% means your profile is fully set up and all five items are done.

### What 100% Unlocks

- Full Directory ranking — You appear in search results with all filters.
- Buy box matching — Properties matching your criteria trigger notifications.
- Connection confidence — Other users see a verified, complete profile and are more likely to connect.
- Verification badge — Displayed on your profile card and property cards.
