04 Google Contacts Integration

The Google Contacts integration brings your existing professional network into ReiSearch. Imported contacts appear in your Dashboard sidebar with one-click invite options.

Connecting Google Contacts

  1. Open App Center from the sidebar.
  2. Find the Google Contacts integration card.
  3. Click "Connect."
  4. Sign in to your Google account and grant permission to access your contacts.
  5. Authorize the connection.

The card status changes to "Connected." Your contacts begin importing automatically.

What Happens After Connection

Imported contacts appear in two places:

  • Dashboard right sidebar — Shows a list of imported contacts with name, email, and an "Invite" button for each.
  • Google Contacts page — Accessible at /google-contacts. Shows the full imported list with search and filter options.

Contacts who already have ReiSearch accounts are flagged so you know they are already on the platform.

Inviting Contacts

From the Dashboard sidebar or the Google Contacts page:

  1. Find the contact you want to invite.
  2. Click "Invite."
  3. An invitation email is sent to their address with a link to sign up for ReiSearch and connect with you automatically.

You can also select multiple contacts and invite them in bulk.

Sync Behavior

  • Initial sync — All contacts import when you first connect.
  • Ongoing sync — New contacts added to Google are synced periodically. The sync is not real-time but typically updates within a few hours.
  • Manual refresh — Click "Sync Now" on the Google Contacts page to force an immediate refresh.

Removing a Contact from the Imported List

If you do not want to see a specific contact:

  • Open the Google Contacts page.
  • Find the contact.
  • Click "Remove" or "Dismiss."

This only removes them from your ReiSearch imported list. It does not affect your Google Contacts or disconnect the integration.

Disconnecting Google Contacts

Open App Center. Find the Google Contacts card. Click "Disconnect."

Your existing imported contacts remain in the list but new syncing stops. To resume, reconnect.

Privacy

ReiSearch accesses only your contact names and email addresses. No other Google data is accessed. Your contacts are not shared with other users unless you specifically invite them.
