Drag-and-drop & reordering

Drag folders to move them into other folders, with spring-loaded auto-expand, and reorder rows up or down.

Drag-and-drop is the fastest way to reorganize. You can drag a folder into another folder, drag a property into a folder, or nudge rows up and down to reorder them.

Start from the Dashboard

  1. Sign in to ReiSearch and open the Dashboard.

  2. Select Folders from the left navigation.

  3. On the My Folders page, locate the row you want to move and the folder that should receive it.

Drag a folder into another folder

  1. Grab a folder by its drag handle (the grip that appears on the left when you hover a row) and start dragging.

  2. Hover over a closed folder for about a second — it auto-expands (you’ll see an “Opening folder…” hint) so you can drop deeper inside.

  3. Release over the target. A green check and a brief highlight confirm the move.

When a drop is blocked: You can only drop into folders you own — otherwise an “Owner only” hint appears and the drop is refused. And because folders nest at most three levels, dropping somewhere that would go deeper shows a “Max depth” hint.

Drag a property into a folder

Grab a property by its handle and drag it onto a folder you can edit. When you drop, a confirmation opens so you can choose to move or copy it — see Add properties to a folder for the details.

Reorder with Move up / Move down

Prefer not to drag? Use Move up and Move down from a folder’s menu to swap it with its neighbor. The options are disabled at the ends, with a tooltip — “Already at the top” or “Already at the bottom.”

Tip: A quick click still opens a folder — dragging only starts once you move the pointer a little, so you won’t reorder by accident.
