02 Connecting With People
Connections are how you grow your deal flow, find partners, and build your reputation on ReiSearch. You can connect with other users through several methods.
Finding People to Connect With
Directory search — Open the Directory from the sidebar. Search by name, city, or expertise. Review profiles and click the Connect icon on any user you want to add.
Network Buyers view — Browse the Buyers section under Network to find investors actively looking for deals. Their buy boxes are visible, so you know exactly what they are buying.
AI Matchmaking — Receive suggested connections from the AI based on your activity and criteria. See the AI Matchmaking article for details.
QR code — Your profile has a unique QR code. Share it at events, on business cards, or in emails. Scanning the code takes the person directly to your ReiSearch profile where they can connect.
Google Contacts import — If Google Contacts is connected, your imported contacts appear in the Dashboard sidebar with Invite buttons. Send invitations to people you already know.
Sending a Connection Request
- Find the user through Directory, search, or a shared link.
- On their profile, click the Connect icon or "Connect" button.
- Add a personal message (optional but recommended). A message like "Hey [name], I saw your buy box for Phoenix and I have some deals that might fit" is more likely to be accepted.
- Send the request.
The recipient receives a notification with your request and message.
Accepting or Rejecting Requests
When someone sends you a connection request:
- Accept — Adds them to your Network. You can share properties and communicate through the platform.
- Reject — Declines the request. The sender is not notified of the rejection specifically (they see the request is no longer pending).
- Ignore — Leave the request pending. No action taken.
Find pending requests in your Notifications panel or under Network > Invitation Tracker.
Connection Limits
Your plan determines how many connections you can have:
- Free — Limited connections.
- Paid plans — Higher or unlimited connection limits depending on the tier.
If you reach your limit, you need to remove existing connections or upgrade your plan to add more.
Removing a Connection
Go to Network and find the user in your connections list. Click the menu icon and select "Remove Connection." They are removed from your Network and will need to send a new request to connect again.
