03 Property Threads

Property Threads are discussion channels attached to a specific property. Every user who has access to the property can participate. Threads keep deal conversations organized and connected to the property instead of scattered across email or text messages.

Accessing Property Threads

Open any property you have access to (Drafts, Shared, or Published). The Threads section is in the property's bottom panel or tab bar, typically labeled "Threads" or "Discussion."

Who Can See and Participate

  • Property owner — Can view, reply, and manage all threads.
  • Shared users — Can view and reply to threads on the shared property.
  • Team members — If the property is shared with a team, all team members with access can participate.

Users who do not have access to the property cannot see its threads.

Thread Features

Replies — Each thread supports threaded replies. Reply to the main topic or to a specific comment.

@mentions — Type @ followed by a username to notify that person. They receive a notification with a link to the thread.

File attachments — Attach documents, photos, or screenshots to any thread message. Attachments are stored alongside the property's documents and accessible from the Documents section.

Timestamps — Every message shows when it was posted. Threads are sorted by most recent activity by default.

Participant Cap

Each property thread supports up to [THREAD_PARTICIPANT_CAP] participants. If more than the cap needs access, the property owner should manage who is actively involved and remove any participants who no longer need access.

When the cap is reached, new participants cannot join until someone is removed. The cap applies per property, not per thread.

Creating a New Thread

  1. Go to the property's Threads tab.
  2. Click "New Thread."
  3. Enter a subject line (e.g., "Inspection Results" or "Offer Negotiation").
  4. Write your message.
  5. Add file attachments if needed.
  6. Post.

Each property can have multiple threads. Use separate threads for separate topics to keep conversations organized.

Notifications

Participants receive notifications for:

  • New threads on properties they access.
  • Replies to threads they are participating in.
  • @mentions in any thread on a property they access.

Notification preferences are controlled in Settings > Notifications.

Notes for Neo

  • [THREAD_PARTICIPANT_CAP] — The session recap assumed 25. Replace with the actual cap value.
