06 Invitation Tracker
The Invitation Tracker gives you a single view of all sent and received connection invitations. You can see who has accepted, who is still pending, and who needs a follow-up.
Accessing the Tracker
Go to Network > Invitation Tracker. The page shows three sections:
- Sent — Invitations you have sent to others.
- Received — Invitations others have sent to you.
- Accepted — Completed connections.
Sent Invitations
Each sent invitation shows:
- Recipient name and profile photo.
- Date the invitation was sent.
- Current status: Pending, Accepted, or Expired.
- Your optional message.
Pending — The recipient has not responded. You can resend the invitation from this view, which sends a new notification to the recipient.
Accepted — The recipient has accepted. The connection is active and they appear in your Network.
Expired — The invitation was not responded to within the platform's timeframe. You can send a new invitation if you still want to connect.
Received Invitations
Invitations sent to you appear here until you act on them. For each invitation:
- Accept — Adds the person to your Network immediately.
- Reject — Declines the invitation. The sender sees the request is no longer pending.
- View Profile — Opens their profile so you can review their activity before deciding.
Follow-Up Reminders
The tracker flags invitations that have been pending for more than a set period:
- 7+ days — "Follow Up" label appears on the invitation.
- 14+ days — Highlighted reminder. Consider resending or following up through another channel.
Use this to stay on top of pending connections that may have been overlooked.
Invitation Limits
Some plans limit how many pending invitations you can have at one time. If you reach the limit, you must wait for pending invitations to be accepted or expired before sending new ones, or upgrade your plan.
Sent Invitation Statuses
| Status | Meaning | Next Step |
|---|---|---|
| Pending | Recipient has not responded | Follow up or wait |
| Accepted | Connection is active | None needed |
| Expired | Time limit passed | Send new invitation |
| Rejected | Recipient declined | Do not resend |
